40 garlic clove chicken in the crock pot. It was delicious! Once those leftovers run out we'll be having pizza.

Schar multi-grain bread with sliced oven roasted chicken breast (Applegate Farms) with pepper jack cheese...
Put that open-faced under the broiler for about a minute and a half, and you've got a tasty open-faced sandwich! Smile
Oh, forgot to mention--Boar's Head mustard is a MUST! LOVE IT!!!

I was adventersome for the last two nights.

The night before last, I just kind of threw a bunch of ingredients into a casserole using the "schwartz" method Wink. I cooked some chicken in a pan w/ garlic and some leftover bacon drippings (from some bacon I used for a salad the day before). Then added some spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions and salt/pepper. Finally added some plain yogurt and chicken broth to make a sauce. Then I poured the whole thing into the casserole w/ some cooked brown rice and mixed together. Topped w/ a bit of freshly grated romano and baked until lightly browned. It was delicious! Very Happy

Then, last night, I marinated strips of beef in a mix that I made w/ Ras al Hanout, olive oil, vinegar, chicken broth, pepper, garlic, and some honey, then skewered them. My dh grilled those and some mushroom and pepper skewers as well. As a side dish, I made Tabouleh using quinoa instead of bulghur wheat. It turned out really well! I think I'll look for a leaner cut of beef for the skewered beef -- they were a tad tougher than I usually like, but otherwise, a great success as well! Very Happy

Vanilla Ice Cream with strawberries! Laughing Cool

It was AWANA awards night and after all the awards are given they all get ice cream with whatever toppings they want.

There wasn't time for a proper dinner, so ice cream was it! Very Happy

What did you think? I've tried other variations of her hamburger-helper-stuff. It tasted OK, and was good in a pinch.

i was surprised that this stuff tasted decent. you never know what to expect when you buy a mix, but i thought they were ok in a pinch. we've tried all the flavors, but that was 3 years ago.
