|

I'm just chatty Cathy this morning but I need help. I went to PF Chang's, got the GF menu, order off that menu, told the waiter it was to be GF and 4 hours later I am throwing up and all the other stuff that goes with it. Usually if I eat something that has gluten it, my stomach tells me about it by making noises with in minutes, but it didn't. What did I do wrong???????????????? I thought I was being so careful.
Thanks for advise,
Nikki from Sugar Land |

Hi Nikki,
OH NO!! I am soo sorry to hear that
More than likely you didn't do ANYTHING wrong. If you got a GF menu and the waiter knew it was a GF menu and you told him it was a GF meal - you did everything you could. There may have been a mixup in the kitchen. Maybe they used a NGF wok....maybe they used NGF Soy sauce...
What did you order?
Did the waiter seem to know about getting GF meals?
I would go back to this place and talk to the manager. Go at non-peak times - you'll have better luck! Tell him/her your story and see what they say... If it was a glutening...maybe it was a fluke thing...maybe it wasn't. But if the manager knows - they can do something about it.
I would not go in with guns blazing. I've found that that kind of attitude gets you no-where real fast
Again...I'm sorry it happened. I hope you feel better soon. I think I may have gotten glutened too on Sat.
Take care! Let us know if you go back and talk to them!

I had the lettuce wraps and the spicy shrimp (can't remember the name) and the rice noodles. Now that I think about it, the other people at the table had the same lettuce wraps but ordered off the regular menu. Maybe he got them mixed up. I am going to try again but also talk to the manager very nicely I remember reading from someone that you should go to a resturant at an off time instead of a busy time and of course 7:00 on Saturday night. What was I thinking?????????????? I also think the waiter was just so busy he couldn't keep things straight. |
