I'm even later at posting, but better late than never. My October has flown by like one really long day. My Mom has moved in with my husband and I. She can no longer live by herself. It is against her wishes so I have the daily struggle of "I want to go home, why can't you take me home" but that usually only lasts about an hour then she is fine. I am in the process of becoming her guardian because she didn't believe in poa. (figured she would never need it). But everyone is as healthy as they can be. And fall is the most beautiful time of year. I love Halloween and passing out candy to the trick or treaters. I really look forwared to sharing the holidays with my mom for however much time she has left. _________________ GF BD 1/4/2008

EGADS! I missed this
Things are really busy here in the house with JD... and he's having more contact gluten reactions at my inlaws... not sure what to do. He even reacts to the cats if they have eaten and started grooming themselves and he's patted them. I've gone to washing his hands now, which is sad since he's just started crawling, isn't eating regular food yet... and has to be held when over there.
I am having back/neck/left shoulder issues due to his weight and how he lays on me .. he always angles to the left-
JD is rolling over full time and now can't be trusted on surfaces to stay put, and has been scooting around for about a week (just before real crawling) and was just dragging himself along the last week or so.
DH has been super busy, and for 2 weeks I was planning a baby shower for friends of ours here at the house.. so that has really been keeping me busy.
Hopefully I can be on more, but with the laptop in for repairs i've been MIA on a lot of things lately, and JD has kept me hopping with his no nap attitude.
Hope you all have a great end of month! _________________

Better really, really late then not at all. Heh. It was an up and down month.
The Bad? I glutened myself in the worst way about a week ago. Ug. With the economy in shambles and our personal finances tightened we moved from a 100% GF household to a shared one. It's too expensive for everyone to eat GF when I'm the only one effected. Apparently there's a learning curve to keeping certain areas of the kitchen clean. Bleh. It litterally felt like razor blades being scraped across the insides of my intestines. I hadn't been glutened in sooo long my reaction was particularly horrible. I've been extra cautious since but would really like to just give up eating if I could.
The Good? Loads! DH and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on the 10th with a lovely meal out to eat at a restaurant and then off to see some live Irish music at a pub with beer and cider. All accomplished without getting one bit sick! Woot! My folks just celebrated their 40th! We threw them a little party and all had a great time. Plus we've done lots of fun fall things this month like the Apple Tasting Festival and my favorite family trip out to the pumpkin patch. The weather has been generally gorgeous. I've also managed to make a big dent in my back yard make over project - I built a stone retaining wall for a new bed that will be home to five new blueberry bushes in a few weeks. OH next summer is going to taste soooo good! Halloween is in a few days and we're dressing up as Pirates and trick-or-treating with the cousins. Should be a great time. I love fall.
