Colleen and I were chatting on FB last night. We have 2 hr meetings. I was surprised to find out that Colleen's are 1 hr in length. While I am not long winded, I am rather detailed and like to explain things. I don't know if we could conduct a meeting and cover a topic in 1 hr. Like here, sometimes things get sidetracked
How 'bout the rest of y'all, how long are your group's meetings? _________________ Al

We meet for 2 hours...10-12. The official meeting goes from 10-11:15 or 11:30 and then we have tastings of donated or baked by us products and have social time.
If a new person asks a question that we've discussed ad nauseum we will generally give it a very short/brief answer and ask one of our more experience participants to further discuss the topic/issue with the new participant. This helps keeps us on task and saves time.
Also, we don't do introductions at every meeting. Takes too much time and people want to tell their entire story. |

Like Tec we're 10 - 12 with the meeting usually winding down around 11:30 so we can all eat the cakes and goodies and socialize a bit and answer more private or rehashed topics without everyone having to be involved. We don't do intro's either... though usually the Branch Manager will introduce herself as will I, so at least new participants will know who we are. _________________ Cheers!

Well, I guess if you are counting eating and socializing time, our meetings are 1.5 hours. One hour for discussion, and then people socialize and eat whatever treats are available. _________________ -Colleen
