| Nope, but I have used Bio-nature which I saw you mentioned and it makes a lovely salad. |

Thanks TEC- I saw that you had done that in a different pasta thread (which is actually why I bought the Bio Naturae in the first place!). I have both kinds right now, and they just started carrying Schar at my local grocery store so I was debating which to try in a salad today. _________________ Rachel |

| Oh Bionaturae is great stuff! I'm not sure I've ever seen the Schar pasta before though, in fairness. |

ok...well for today's salad I'll go with the Bio naturae...given the positive feedback. Plus I haven't had pasta salad in well over a year!
If anyone else has any thoughts on the Schar pasta cold for future reference I'd love to hear it. Maybe I'll try it next week and I'll post the results. _________________ Rachel |

A dear friend of mine loves the Schar pasta and says it's almost as good as the Bia-Glut which is now impossible to find. We were talking about it in a hot application so I don't know how it is in a salad.
Schar products have really been popping up all over the Chicago area. Love seeing the Schar table crackers at the mainstream grocery stores! |

It is pretty awesome. They just came in this week I think. All of a sudden there is pasta, bread, crackers and pizza crusts! I couldn't believe it. _________________ Rachel |

Yes, the products have been popping up around here, too--pizza crusts, crostini sticks, dinner rolls, sandwich bread, ladyfingers, etc. _________________ ~Torrey

Well, the pasta salad was really good! I actually liked it almost better the second day which was completely shocking. I like the bio naturae...I feel like you can definitely taste the potato flour in there...so it was a bit of an adjustment. But it seems more like real pasta to me.
I'll try the schar cold next week...and post the results.
Thanks again! _________________ Rachel |

I just read about Schar in the Living Without magazine and when I looked on their website where to find them in the Chicagoland area, it gave me amazons website. I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open! _________________ ~Erin~

While several of the stores here carry Schar stuff, that's one heck of a drive for some GF pasta. Perhaps it'll eventually move closer. I'll keep my eyes peeled. _________________ Ostrich :>--O==={

How expensive is the Schar pasta? I am OK with Trader Joe's pasta, and it's pretty inexpensive. I am almost afraid to try a more expensive brand. What if I really like and I can't afford to buy it? _________________ -Colleen
