Has anyone found these mixes in any Manhattan supermarkets? Unfortunately, given the lack of shelf space in grocery stores here, such items can be hard to find. The likely carriers, such as health food stores, have absurdly high prices. I'll check Whole Foods next time I'm there, but would love to find a distributor on the Upper East Side... _________________ Eric

Yes, I survived the long hot summer (in the 70's haha) and thanks to your encouragement months ago, grilled 4 or more days a week. That will continue through the winter.
I had to go get butter for the cake...moved swiftly through the aisles at the store, deftly knocking over people with my cart while blaming others, got home and proceeded to not follow the directions on the box. The wife asked me 2 minutes after I triumphantly put it into the oven "how many eggs did you use?" and then she laughed when I said "one". Back into the bowl, added 2 eggs, beat it (ala Michael Jackson) all to constant laughter from the living room. Since it's the Halloween season, it sounded more like a cackle, but I'll never say that, at least not publicly.
Now I'm watching the Texas / Oklahoma game and waiting.... _________________ Mike |

Still looking for these things in WalMart.
In my Ralphs, the first time the other BC stuff went on sale, so did the new gf mixes. HOWEVER, the regular stuff has gone on sale several times since then, but not the gf mixes.
So just keep on walking by. _________________ Sandi ~ learning to live in a world obsessed and infested with wheat.

Mike- How'd your cake come out? Did you have the last laugh? _________________ Steph |

I was surprised it tasted as good as it did since I've never eaten a GF cake and I'm assuming the 3 eggs in the directions were there for a reason. Thanks for asking. _________________ Mike |
