Plus it sucks that you can't go and share in the event without eating. Almost everytime I go do something...I may not be able to eat- but it doesn't mean I can't socialize. Sorry the situation is that way. There's something really wrong with that.

I agree. Are they really going to be that busy, that they wouldn't be able to watch one unpaying person to make sure they don't eat?

(You could always pay to go and be sure to drink $15 worth of pop Wink . I can't come up with a better way to "stick it to 'em" than that right now.)

You could bring a large purse with tupperware and shove as much food as you could possibly sneak out of the restaurant in it. Bring your "doggy bag" to a gluten eating loved one... Laughing Twisted Evil

You could get a pair of latex gloves, fill a plate full of food and walk around the party dropping something on every persons plate and ask them to eat it for you. Tell them its your way in these tough economic times of making sure nothing is wasted.

You joke, but I'm sure DH would appreciate this. He drinks his weight in soda.

I'd skip it too. If required to attend I'd ask for $14 of fruit and a soda. Laughing
