|
|
I did a spray-on tan at a local tanning salon today, and I'm dealing with a nasty glutening this evening. I'm not positive that it was the spray-on tan, but I know a lot of it got on my lips, and I've narrowed it down to that and one other thing as possibilities.
The brand is Mystic Tan, and I used the Clearmyst formula. I was able to get the ingredients off the website, and I was wondering if anyone sees anything listed that I might have missed. Has anyone here ever done a spray-on tan, and should they be safe?
The ingredients are: Stabilized Aloe Vera Gel, Dihydroxyacetone, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Ordenone™, Zinc Ricinoleate, Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine, Laureth-3, Propylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polysorbate 20, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Simethicone |

Tocopherols can often come from wheat germ oil. I don't know if that would have any affect on you or not.
Hope you feel better soon. _________________ -Colleen

Other than that's quite a list of chemicals, it's hard to say what might have gotten you. What is your other possible culprit? _________________ Nance

I agree that it's quite a list of chemicals. After seeing that, it's doubtful that I will be doing it again. (It didn't work anyway)
The other possibility was ribs from Outback. I'm going to confirm the status of the spray-on tan, and hope it was that as I've never had a bad experience at Outback before. |

Last time I ate at Outback I was glutened and sick for a month..... For your sake I hope it was just the spray. I agree that is a long list of chemicals to put on your body. Good luck on feeling better soon. _________________ STZ
