I was actually just diagnosed last week with rosacea. I have been gluten free for almost two years. My dermatologist did say that rosacea will flare with my food intolerances. So although gluten and also soy in my case are not a cause of my rosacea, if I accidentally ingest them, it brings on the rosacea type acne. For me red wine, sun, cold wind are my biggies with the sun the worst since I live in Colorado Springs with high altitude and the sun is so much stronger here. _________________ Kathy |

I had rosacea before going GF. I don't remember how long it took before it went away because I was not expecting that to be a result of going GF. Also, I think it took a while before I got the hang of the diet and was really 100% GF.
Now when I accidentally get glutened, my face gets red and gets the same types of blemishes that I used to have on my face all the time. |

i suspect many types of food/additive sensitivities get the the R going
a couple of years ago i was having a reaction to whey protein and got the R....went off the whey the R left
now the R is back and found out i was gluten intolerant as well as some others.......will ssee how the elimanation diets goes....its been 5 days |

I have a very mild form of Rosecea that I use Finacea cream on. Come to think of it, it did flare up and I went to the dermatologist just before being diagnosed celiac. I do not know what helped-going gluten free or the Finacea to be honest. I use the cream daily (just on my forehead) as per my derm-maybe I'll stop for a while and see what happens. _________________ www.glutenfreefitness.com |
