I just read that pre-diagnosed celiac women who conceive have a much higher risk with miscarriages and birth defects... which the stories above seem to exemplify. Sorry I can't remember the link to the article... But I do remember them saying it was best to wait at least a year after diagnosis before trying to conceive... so you've got at least a year to find a boy friend! Also you might actually want to wait two years, because the other optimum recommendation is to take prenatal vitamins for about a year before you conceive. I guess that leaves you time to get married to said boy friend...
My personal story is I was diagnosed Celiac five years ago and went on a strict GF diet. Early last year my husband and I conceived on our first try. (I think my husband would've prefered to "practice" a bit more ) My pregnancy went very smoothly. We're now the proud parents of a beautiful healthy baby girl. _________________ Cheers!
