I have been buying Ener-G crisp prezels and like them but they are expensive. I found a brand called New Wylde Pretzels that offer a family bag and are much cheaper, almost half price. Has any one had the chance to compare the two?
Thanks

Hi Dkad,

Hmmm, I have some of these but I have not tried them yet. I got them when I was at the GIG conference and was going to have them with my GF Bard's Beer. Well, I had the beer and not the pretzels Sad Smile

They are made by EnerG too.

Hmmm...in the description...they call it a PARTY sized bag. The question is...do you have a family or a party? LOL! Very Happy Smile Razz

Quick Al, try those pretzels! All I know is if the 8 oz. bag is the 'party size', I'm in trouble. Can these be purchased @ Whole Foods or just on line.

LOL!!

OK...I am having some for breakfast as I type. They are VERY crunchy, a small amount of salt. While I like them, I think I like their other pretzels better: http://www.ener-g.com/store/detail.aspx?sn=CrackesAndSnacks&id=71&cat=6

Now...back to my GF Lifestream waffles Very Happy

I do not know if they are at WF or not. I've gotten them at health food stores. Search this place...I have a Whole Foods link to their PDF of GF items they have in the store.

I have gotten their pretzels at health food stores. I think all 3 that I frequent have them. Even a large grocery store that has a pretty good GF selection has them.

Ok you guys lost me....which one tastes better. I was at the Health food store and they had some EnerG ones that were out of date. He said he couldn't sell them and gave me about 8 packages. Not good rancid and stale.

While the wylde one's are oK...I prefer the "original" ones, the non wylde ones. They are really good when you eat them with plain M&M's..you get choc. cover pretzels w/o all the work Very Happy

Thanks for your opinion, guess I will stick with the ones I know I like. These are the ones I like to lightly dip in almond bark that I asked about at one time.

This pretzel talk is making me hungry. You guys have written a lot since I've been away! I like the Glutino pretzels...about as close as I've found to real ones. I got them at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati, OH but they can probably be purchased off the web. They are awesome! I had some today after breakfast and with lunch.

Has anyone noticed how much FAT the EnerG pretzels have? I couldn't believe it! They taste great though - won't keep me from eating them, but I thought pretzels were a low fat food!!!

Pretzels are supposed to be low fat. I guess not the GF ones though. As a matter of fact, a lot of GF food is pretty caloric. Not to change the subject but I have another ? Have most of you consulted a dietician or just devised a diet through trial & error. I was diagnosed over 3 months ago & I'm still having a hard time planning my meals. Is consulting a dietician the way to go? Thanks.
