I came across this on the Kinnikinnick website (haven't ever ordered from them or any online GF shop yet)

Quote:

Toastabags Gold Reusable Toaster bags
Essential for the Gluten free traveller! These heavy duty reusable bags allow you to toast your gluten free bread in a non-gluten free toaster. You can also use it for heating up pizza and making hot toasted sandwiches. 2 per Pkg. Reuse up to 100 times each.

Has anyone heard of/used these? Think they're safe? They look fun and convenient Smile

I have heard about them, but haven't used them. Lots of people swear by them.

If you do order from Kinnikinnick, be sure to order some of the Kinni-toos. They are like crack they are so good. Very Happy

I use them alot. I get mine at Boscov's for $7.00 or so. I buy the 100 uses ,two in abag for that price. I know in the UK they have ones for 300 uses but I can't find themin the US. Some are $5.00 or so & only for ten uses......
These are also great for traveling & staying in motels where a toaster is available. I carry bread with me & my toasta bag!!!

We used to use them at home until Ty got his own toaster. We still use them when travelling. They get HOT! Be careful. (Usually we had to toast twice as long.)

We have used them with success in traveling. Last trip we were so careful to bring them... then forgot the GF bread!

I like them, but you really do have to toast things twice as long. But hey! If it allows you to have toasted bread and no gluteny contamination then that's a good thing!
