| It's not only the gluten. It's this f'ing processed food. I was 20. I had lived my whole life healthy and without any symptoms. I used to eat pretty much anything. Then I came to the USA, and after two months I had psoriasis. Then I left to go back to my country. I became healthy for 9 years. Now I am 30 and I came back to start a PhD. Guess what, after two months. PUM!!, I have the skin rash again. |

Hi Jorfoas,
Welcome to the board!
Sorry to hear that the rash is back.
Yeah, processed foods can be a problem. Many of us that follow a gluten free lifestyle have reduced or eliminated most processed foods. It's easier and better for you.
The nice thing is that you do have the choice to eat "whole foods" if you wish. By "whole foods", I mean foods not processed or processed minimally. Fresh fruits, veggies, plain meats, poultry and seafoods. Heck, there's even organic versions too.
Have you been diagnosed with Celiac Disease or Dermatitis Herpetiformis?
What was your diet like in your homeland and what country did you come from?
Good luck with your PhD. program!! _________________ Al
