For those of you who live in the northeast, Hannaford's Supermarkets have always carried a brand of frozen turkey that is really good. It's called Marval. The packaging had no info on the GF status, and there was no contact info either. I asked the meat manager if they are GF. He put in a call and found out that they are GF. Best part... $.47 a pound this week! GF and a bargain as well!!!

Ayuh. Glad you remember your roots Nance. Laughing Just remember all you non-New Englanders who laugh at the funny, er normal, way we talk around heah...Thanksgiving started right here in New England.

Oh and BTW. I spelled Marval wrong in my original post. Sorry. They are Marval turkeys not marvel, although they are marvelous, esp. at $.47 a lb. Bought mine today.

Yup. I've got the turkey to prove it. I was thinking they spelled it differently when I did the original post, but wasn't sure because I didn't buy one that day.

Ha! Or Shop 'n Save, since some New Englanders have trouble with change. I know people who still collectively refer to stores like Walgreens and Rite Aid as "Laverdieres."

Very funny! I noticed it was spelled right when I clicked on the link. I was thinking I was crazy and had spelled it Marval after all. Shoulda known it was you! My motto in life is, "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most."

Isn't that how it's done???? Laughing Actually I often say Shop 'n Save still. Things just move at a little slower pace in this frozen tundra. And I still miss Laverdieres. Crying or Very sad
