Ok I finally called to get the actual numbers...and it does seem like all is in the normal range. I had this bloodwork done when I was GF for about a week...
IgA 3 ... normal 0 to 4
IgG 4 ... normal 0 to 9
tTG 1 ... normal 0 to 3
One more number was an immuno something quanitative something which was at 291 and normal is 70 to 400
Sigh. |

It could, but I think it would skew it high.
So, are they going to scope you? I suspect not with negative blood work.
Sorry that the tests didn't return something definitive. So the search continues. I still would not rule out gluten just yet. _________________ Al

The above panel was done in June...right after I got the results I went back to eating gluten. About a month later I was getting this feeling of food not passing all the way to my stomach...so I was scoped for a 'stricture' and none was found. Biopsy for H Pylori was negative...but the doc did say that I had gastritis.
I did not think to ask them to take a look for celiacs... |

Sad thing...you shouldn't have to. As prevalent and pervasive as CD is, they should be checking as long as they're down there. Heck, they took biopsies for H. Pylori, why not grab some more for CD? _________________ Al

| I'm not even sure if it was that 'thorough' of a scope anyway...I was in and out of there pretty quickly... |
